where should the hydrometer be placed in my cage?

just wondering where i should place my hydrometer cause it has different reading for the different spots in my cage

I got two of the cheap digital ones from Walmart and keep one on the warm side, and one on the cool side. If i just had one, I'd probably say the middle.
