Het clown markers?

I just got a pastel het clown and I was wondering if anyone knows if there are any markers for het clown. I've heard people talk about markers for other recessive genes so maybe there is for clown too.

I can't personally clarify being true or not but alot of het clowns I have seen have, ”tear drops" coming from the side patterns. But either way I would always rely on reputable breeder's and knowledge of dam and sire before making any sort of call on heterozygous animal, paper work should always be your number one friend in terms of recessive projects.

* REPUTATION should always be your number one friend in terms of recessive projects. Anyone can write something down on paper. It's how they back it up that's important.

Yep, breeder is the only sure bet.
Not all makers prove out.

I have 3 het clowns myself, 1.1 normal 100% het clowns and 0.1 enchi 66% het clown.

Markers for het clowns include lighter color and long dorsal stripe partially broken. But this is not for sure. Both my normals have the long dorsal stripe and the female is very light in color. The enchi has no markers but that does not mean anything at all. The breeder I got my het clowns from is super reputable and every breeder I know personally has a small collection that came from him. This is what I go on, not markers. I have many ball pythons who have clown markers but are not het for clown at all. Markers mean nothing.

And you back that up with records of sire and dam, photos, lock dates, ovi dates, date of eggs laid, photo of dam on the eggs... Hard to gain reputation without these, if the individual is new to breeding he will not have much of a rep...which would need to be earned which in this hobby is a correlation of involvement within the herb community and paper trails of proof in my personal opinion.
