First of all, awesome red tail. Secondly, I'm with Josh on the spot being nothing to worry about.
Thanks so much man for the kind words
I just got a little concerned cause I had several factors working against me first being it was my first boaphile tank and getting the humidity up was an issue ( went to Cyprus mulch after the new paper didn't work) and second being this is the first time I had a bad shed with a snake were I needed to assist them
Kickass Suriname! I just bought one last July and she is about a year and a half old. Quite smaller than yours, but I am told that locality Bcc's take a long time to become a mature size. I love mine as well. A couple of questions for you. Mine always seems to strike the front of her enclosure when it is close to feeding time. Does yours do that as well?
I also have a boaphile enclosure. My humidity levels are fine with a large water dish, but I also have a exoterra monsoon humidifier that is on a sensor for back up. I noticed that the substrate gets too moist and her climbing logs tend to get mold on them when the humidifier turns on frequently. I clean these up when I see them, but is this harmful to my snake?
Congrats on the new Suri!
