    Female retirement age

Whats your average breeding retirement age for a female ball python. I know it all depends on the snake and what not but what would be a safe age for retirement so that your snake stays healthy. Thanks!

I don't think there is one. I know of breeders who still got clutches on schedule from females who they'd had 20 years. If the snake is healthy, it should be fine to breed.

    Re: Female retirement age

I do not have any older females but i keep smaller numbers than alot of breeders i let my females go when there daughters who have more genes and are higher quality are ready to replace them so my oldest breeder females are like 4 or 5 years tho as stated i know of people who get clutches off their older balls
Laziness is nothing more than the habit of resting before you get tired.
