Damaged Scale?
I took a few images of my new addition earlier today and upon reviewing them to clean up the backgrounds, I noticed that, in a profile shot, she has a pretty banged up facial scale. This is of course my first time noticing this and I've had her for about three weeks now. I'm not sure how it happened and it doesn't quite look like the entire scale has peeled off. It also seems like she's about to go into shed based on her eyes, but her belly doesn't look too pink. She's currently at 110g, so the scale is very small. Should I wait until after the next shed or address it in some way?
If you go to the scale above her mouth and directly below her eye, then go over to the left to the third scale, that's what I'm talking about.

Re: Damaged Scale?
Has she been eating for you the weeks you've had her? If so, I'd let her finish her shed, but keep an eye on it, see if it clears up or not after the shed. Just make sure to monitor it. My baby had a messed up eye scale when I brought her home, but after her first shed for me it was normal.

Re: Damaged Scale?
I don't always see pink bellies on our snakes when they're in shed, it isn't an infallible indicator. The cloudy eye definitely looks like she is, though. Keep an eye on the area, one shed may not completely clear it up, but it should hopefully be better post-shed.
