    Help

I had a normal ball python as a kid. I am moving out and in college. I will be getting my first ball python in the next few months. It will hopefully be a vanilla ghost super pastel. I have done unbelievable amounts of research and I am ready but I can't decide on one thing. Male or female. I want a bigger snake but not so big that it doesn't want to be held or anything like that. If anyone has an adult female please post a picture and males as well. Just Please label them. Thank yall for thehelp

They can vary in size. I have a killerbee who isn't really much bigger than any of my big males.

Though I have a calico girl who trumps them in size!

Ball pythons don't really get so big that they become unmanageable, unless they have a bad attitude . Make sure you ask how the snake's temperament is. Often times, breeders don't handle their babies much, so it may be difficult to get an honest answer.

I think the Hypo Vanilla Super Pastel would be an amazingly hot pickup! Very hard to find such specifics though . Good luck!

    Re: Help

If you think you may breed in the future then I would suggest getting a female as she will take longer to reach sexual maturity. If it will simply be a pet snake then a male is fine and will likely stay a hair smaller than a female would. Best of luck to you and welcome back to the addiction.

    Re: Help

First pick is a 5 year old male kingpin at 1500g and a pastel female that is 3500g second pic is the same male kingpin withba 1500g fire. Almost all ballpythons at any sixe will deal with handling.
