Great topic, I have wondered about this too. I have a feeling my wife would likely kill me if I did this with the hides but the water dishes I'm sure would be ok with her. She's done pretty well these last 5 months with bags of frozen rats in the freezer though I'm sure she will be much happier in 2 weeks when we move into the new house and we get our other freezer for the garage out of storage.
    Cheers, Jeff

    Re: Using the Dishwasher

I just feel its safer to separate the reptile equiptment and feeding supplies including water bowls from my personal and family supplies. My dishwasher is for use of human utensils and my reptile utensils get washed and dried in separate area and in a different type of washing device. I love my animals but their flora and fauna is very different from mine and my families. Their bacterial loads are also very different from human bacterial loads. Just doesn't sound sanitary or a very healthy practice. All just IMO.
Stay in peace and not pieces.

    I feel the same way.

Even though it may be perfectly safe and given the stamp of approval by Doctors and Lab Geeks, it just doesn't mix with me.

The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.
