    Got bit, tooth came out?!

I got in the way of Marshall's feast tonight. I was trying to be helpful and pull a little wood chunk out of his mouth that had gotten stuck to the rat, but Marshall saw this as more food. Thankfully he didn't hold on, but being my typical self I pulled back and discovered a tiny tooth stuck in my thumb. I carefully took it out of my thumb, and while I am okay I am worried about Marshall. Is it okay for him to lose a tooth? He wasn't gushing blood out of his mouth or anything crazy like that, he just continued eating his rat. By the way, I got the wood chunk out. Here's a pic of the tooth, sorry for the bad quality.

Yup, that's a tooth. It will be okay. it's better for the tooth to come out than to get jammed up in the gum which can become infected. If in a week or so he's gaping or there is any swelling get to a vet, but the chances of complications from this are very low.
