Hi everyone! After much stalking and researching about Ball Pythons, I've decided to finally join this community.
I came upon this forum when I needed information about my newest pets. I am new to the snake owning world but not the reptile world. Ever since I was five, I loved reptiles! They were so neat in my eyes. They made me giggle while they gave my family the creeps. My mom especially hated snakes. So no slithering, cute, scaly creatures for me until I moved out.
Fast forward about 18 yrs, i'm in my own apartment with my fiance and we decided we could have a snake. I got a baby amel cornsnake and brought him home from a local reptile pet shop. I went back to the pet shop with my ever curious and adventurous sister and we asked to hold the ball pythons. My sister held a banana ball while I held a piedbald. Oh my god. I had to have a ball python after holding that beautiful piebald.
I researched and researched, stalking this forum and many others about my new love for ball pythons. I was hooked! I needed to have everything just right before I brought that piebald home. I had the setup ready, gotten rid of my old furniture to make room for my new arrival but when I went back to the shop, he was already purchased and gone.
Maybe, I had jumped the gun a little. Maybe it just wasn't in the cards for that little guy. No worries. So I searched on fauna and lo and behold a snake more catches my attention. A male Sterling (maybe lesser) was up for sale in my state. Cut the cost of shipping and such and I was hooked once again.
Long story short, my male sterling will be in my hands come the end of October with ready equipment and lots of food.
Sorry for the extremely long back story on myself. Anyway, Hi again and glad to be a part of the community.![]()
