Assist feeding should be done as a last resort

If you have not done so here is what you need to do

Set your snake up in a 6 quarts tub (max) with aspen as bedding, use a plastic flower pot saucer as an hide (6 inches wide)

Provide a hot spot of 88 degrees (max), leave it alone for a week (no handling) and offer a live mousse hopper in the enclosure. Prey should be as big as the girth size of your snake.

Stick with mice for now as they are more enticing.
This is from page one if you did not read it.....deb is top notch...do dont tell me im rude when all we tried to do was help from the beginning...YOU CHOOSE NOT TO LISTEN FROM THE BEGINNING.

It really breaks my heart when a person cares more selfishly about the view ability of a pet then the animals own health and safety.

If you wanted a pet for viewing, which is why you claim to want the glass fish tank, then maybe a ball python wasn't the right choice... They are not much for moving around and exploring and if they are doing it excessively that means they are stressed and or uncomfortable... not because they are being friendly.

Instead of trying to help it you've done more damage then good and you are fighting with very knowledgeable keepers who have been doing so way longer then you. I'd suggest instead of being difficult, at least try what they've suggested...

The vast majority of my snakes are also pets. I use racks and tubs as housing as my enjoyment of them is secondary to their health and well-being.

Depends on the heat mat you already own, if it is a mat designated for reptiles, it will work.

In the mean time however you need to unplug this heat mat if you do not have a thermostat, not only it could lead to severe burns but it can also be a fire hazard if not controlled.

As a temporary solution go to home depot or lowes and purchase a light dimmer while waiting for your t-stat to arrive http://www.homedepot.com/p/Lutron-Cr...H-WH/100001525.

This is not only important to try to correct the issue but also to prevent more.

Never when I did my research when looking at care sheets for ball pythons did I see; never keep in a aquarium, these animals are not for viewing, these snakes just lay and do nothing. And I was doing the best I could, I don't have a job and I spent the majority of my money on supplies, etc for him. I've put a lot of effort into this snake, I've listened to as much as other's have said as I could. I keep a eye on his heat/humidity every hour to make sure he's doing good and his heat doesn't get out of reach. When I noticed the heat pad was increasing the heat to 100 degrees I removed it, and him till the temperature settled into the 85's. And I picked the cage since it was the most simple choice as I have no experience outside of it. My burms were in aquariums, my red tail, and lizards. They all did good, and got their humidity and never had any issues. Don't take me as someone who just looked up snakes, found ball pythons and was like "Omg I want one so badly! Screw research I'll go to any site and buy one without even reviewing the seller!" I know people keep them in all sorts of different things like vivs, custom snake cages, plastic containers, but I also see them equally kept in aquariums.

If you read more than just looking for your own agenda then you'd know I did take her advice. I even got the exact hide she suggests and followed her instructions for making it. I don't have experience outside of aquariums and a lot of the care guides I watched had them in aquariums.

The more you talk, the more it sounds like that's EXACTLY what you did. Like you have no idea what you're doing at all. You force fed a baby that did not need to be at this point. That's great that you can apparently keep other snakes in aquariums but the issue at hand is you have a baby that's stressed out and not eating. People are pointing out that the cause may very well be a stressful setup. If you want it in a tank after its settled and eating consistently then do so. People are telling you how to make it more comfortable for the time being. I'm not sure why you can't understand that and why you insist on fighting everyone instead of considering the well being of your animal. It makes me wonder how your other snakes that you apparently have are cared for. Do they have thermostats on their heat sources?

And I feel like it's irresponsible that you are jobless have no money yet bought a snake with all that you had. How will you pay for its vet bills if it were to get sick? Or burned because you insisted on running without a thermostat?

I used to keep boas in glass tanks and discovered that due to where I live and the climate, they were just not practical, but it was completely doable at the time, just way more work. HOWEVER, a baby ball python is NOT a boa that are known for being great eaters. Ball pythons are not. You cannot treat their eating habits the same way. Stress will make a BP not eat. Everyone is trying to help you make a stress free environment and give you helping advice but you are ignoring it and telling everyone they are rude because they are not telling you what you want to hear.

This animal did not ask to be your pet. You should be doing whatever you can to do what is best for it. I hope for its sake you do so.
