This. I did this exact thing last summer and the female was able to breed for me and produce an awesome 8 egg clutch. The qt time will allow her to settle in and bulk up.

About breeding year around, I have had a chat about that with an friend of mine and he tried it with a couple of females and he says he can't get them to breed with out cooling, so I am not sure if that would be the way to go for me

In my experience adults takes longer to get acclimated to new environments. Over the years when I received adult females for loan, 50% of them would not go that season, they would immediately upon arrival stop eating and while they were had a breedable weight they did not have the feel I was looking for.
Those female would go the following season.
Same goes when I moved I experienced the worst breeding season following the move to a new house.

So I might be better of buying a younger female for less money or a younger female with 3 gene for the same money as to buying that proven female?

Lots of blah, blah, blah. The only one that will let you know if any snake will be ready,is the snake itself. All you are getting are guesses.
