    Haha! Good name.

I haven't had this problem feeding from the top before. But feeding from side doors, I've had to place my BP back in the tank many times.
The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

Nice! We had a juvenile boa launch herself all the way out of the tub when she went for the f/t rat and missed. So she got fed on the floor and once she had the rat wrapped we just picked her up and put her back. Silly girl.

This girl - she's learning the routine and anticipating my next move - meets me a bit closer each feeding.

Nice dude. Great to see he's eating. Looked like a close one, almost ended up on the floor.

Nice! I have a few girls that would eat this way every single time if I let them. I swear it's a game on feeding day to 1) see who can hit it before it's in the tub, and 2) see who can actually make it to the ground if they do manage to snag it while dangling out of their tub.

The girls in the higher tubs are constantly accusing the girls that are lower of cheating at that second half of that game.

My hogs are the worst at the dangle game. I swear 90% of their brain shuts down when faced with food. Have to keep a hand free to catch the occasional animal that goes soaring towards the ground in it's overzealousness.

Different snake, though my male did eat a couple f/t rat pups the night I brought him home! This is a yearling female and eating has never been a concern. Convincing her that everything isn't food, myself included, is our only dilemma. I've seriously witnessed this girl repeatedly chomp the water and toss her bowl around right after I changed it out.
