    Feeding habits pre egg laying?

The question is in the title, how's the feeding habit of preggo female ballphytons?
I'm not so experienced in breeding ballphytons, I've gotten 2 clutchs before (pinstripe x normal & spider x albino ).
But I'm fairly positive that female's who's getting to lay their eggs (I'd guess mine (if she's going to) should lay in 2-3 weeks) don't eat.
But when I offered her a rat today she took it.

So I'd like to hear if your females tend to stay of food or if they gobble down what's given to then after they've had their prelay shed?

There are exception that will eat after OVY but again they are exception the majority of females will stop eating once they ovulate.
