    Tub size

Is 35"x17"x6" a bad size tub for a ball python? The reason I ask is because I am currently keeping both my BP's in 41qt sterilite tubs with those dimensions and it seems like the height is too low. I'm kinda afraid my snakes would drown if they tried drinking water from the bowls in the tubs because there is barely any gap between the water bowl and the lid. Am I just a worrier or is this a concern I should take seriously? My BP's aren't even close to full grown yet so I honestly have no idea how they would be able to get water once they are bigger unless I get a tub that has a higher height dimension. It just sucks though because it is hard for me to find a tub that has a good height dimension and isn't huge.. Plus I already made a snake rack for the dimensions of the tubs i have...

    How about shorter bowls.

    Re: Tub size

I thought of that but i don't know where to shallow water bowls. I might just have to take out the nice bowls and put in a really small bowl for them to just drink from. It sucks though cuz the bigger bowls were good if they would want to take a dip in the water.

Bump because i'm interested in knowing what tubs most people use for adult BP's. Measurements and links to the tubs they use wuld be great. Everyone says 41qt for adults but obviously from my experience that is a bad answer because 41qt can have different measurements.

Your snake won't drown in his water bowl.

How big are your bowls? They don't need very big bowls. I only put 6" bowls in the 37qt tubs with the adults. The tubs I use are 5 1/4" high.

It is okay to use pine bedding for snakes.
It is okay to feed live food to snakes.
