Solomon Island Ground Boas...anyone share tips on housing?
Hi all,
I have a trio of Solomon Island Ground Boas. I was wondering if they can be housed together in a 4ft x 3ft x 1ft enclosure. I put them together just for the pic. Was wondering if they can be kept together...TIA

If it was a smart idea we'd all house our snakes together and save money on enclosures and save tons of room to boot!

Thanks for posting. I didn't know about the existence of the Candoia snakes.
A guy named Jerry Conway seems to have experience with these animals. You can find several papers of his on this animal. I did not find any information specific to housing groups together. He does advocate group breeding for better success, but once the "winner" is clear, he separates the other males from the breeding pair.
Except for that brief time frame, they don't sound any more social than other snakes.

I know they're together for a photo op, but I wondering about their permanent homes. terrestrial Candoia are very particular snakes that require a substrate to burrow in. Once this is provided, you will never see them again, LOL.

Thanks for the info. From what I have read he housed pairs together but it didn't say if during breeding season or what. Anyway the are housed separately...
