    Tiny Bug

Today I went to take my snake out of his cage. As I lifted him I noticed a little tiny (brown maybe) bug crawl fast onto my hand. I was unable to look at the big properly due to its speed. I immediately checked my snake scales for any signs of mites, and did not notice anything bizarre. I then checked the substrate (zoo med cypress mulch) and did not notice anything unusual. Only saw the wood chippings and the little black specs from the mulch itself. Since there were no signs of any mites what do you think it could possibly be? I’ve never dealt with a mite infestation with my own collection.

Just to be safe you should probably replace all of the mulch, wash all of the decorations and water bowl, replace the water and you should probably bathe your snake in snake oil, just to be safe. Mites also end up in the water bowl a lot.
