Good on ya! They're great snakes, a lot more active and interesting than your bp's. They seem to have a bit of personality to them and they're super cool to watch because of it. I think my favorite thing about them is that they don't spend all their time hiding - they're not afraid to be out and about in their viv, so they're good display snakes, especially with being semi-arboreal. I don't get tired of watching mine, and he's an absolute joy to handle despite being a yearling. They can be a bit nippy as babies, but mine is awesome.

Basically what I'm saying is that you should get one if you ever have the chance lol. They're gorgeous, active, docile, and GREAT eaters (mine hasnt missed a meal, even right after he was shipped to me!). You can't go wrong.

    Lets see your python!

They are tons of fun as an adult too! Constantly on the move.

Here is my 5 yr old Coastal Carpet, Lizzy.

The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

I didn't know either until, I think, yesterday.
You would think they would be a much bigger deal.

That they do! They also come in super dwarf!
I've seen dwarfs between 6-10 feet, and I've seen super dwarfs around the 6ft mark.
I believe they're a bit pricey for either, but I can't recall price ranges. I just knew it was out of my territory for the time being :p

I'm not sure as far as permits go. Where I live, you don't have to have them. If you can find your state laws anywhere you can see if it's listed. Sorry I can't be more help

Those poor pictures in the last photo. Reminds me of how my smaller snakes like to cruise along the top of my glasses and nearly tear them off my face.

No Woma pythons thus far, so here's mine.

He's the most active/interesting species I own to watch, always poking his head out and wanting to know what's up in the snake room.

    And a few ball pythons!
