Ok so I got this ball python in a trade the guy told me it was a normal but I don't think it is due to the fact it's darker than all the normals I seen does anyone know what it is?

Looks like a normal to me that is deep in shed. It will probably be brighter once it has finished shedding. Just keep the humidity bumped up until it does.
