Re: Do Blue Eyed Leucistic's eyes lighten after first shed?
I'm guessing both parents are carrying the fire or yb gene and what you have could be infact an Ivory BEL (Super lesser ivory) or super fire BEL (Super lesser Super fire)

I am guessing it is an ivory with one or more hidden genes. I do not see fire in either parent. Lets see belly pics of the parents. Also, if you have one, take some photos of the baby under a black light. More then likely she will have to be labeled a black eyed lucy unless proven otherwise via breeding.

fire is my guess: no yb in both of them and the dam is very dark for a lesser. even if i see lesser pastel and not nuclears.... for me the dam hide a fire like gene (moccha) and the male could have fire as well.
i don t see why spider or pastel should affect eyes color.

To me both animals seem to dark to have fire in them.
@ Darkranger, mocha is in de Blue eyed luecistic group so the lesser female can't have Mocha in her without being a blue eyed Lucy

No I do not see YB in them but I do not own a YB or YB combo myself but when I look at pictures YB tend to have a lot more blushing. Maybe if we get some belly shots we could be more sure

My ivory's eyes look like that. Blue-black with dark red pupils.
