First BP ever and a little mix-up?

Hey guys! I'm new to these parts but was recommended that I join by Lizardlicks so here I am

I just recently (as in today) got my first ever ball python and I have to say I'm over the MOON about her, but there was a little bit of confusion!

I ordered a snake from Bob Clark that was supposed to be a 2014 male, med. white pied, but, and I don't know HOW this happened, I ended up receiving a 2015 (June hatchling) female low/mid white pied instead! I contacted him immediately about it and he was suuuper accomodating and apologised and offered to let me choose between keeping her and sending her back for the correct animal at his expense, and I decided to keep her, and he said he was alright with that! I know she's just a baby but her temperament is fantastic and she's such a sweetie and I absolutely love her colouration and cute back saddles.

So that's my introduction to Ball Pythons, I guess, haha!

    Here she is:

Seems like you were pretty fortunate. Bob Clark is a legend in this industry, nice choice.

    Welcome to the forum Keebs.

I wouldn't be upset by the mixup at all. You have an awesome snake there!
The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

Nice! My advise to you, put her in her enclosure and don't touch her again until she has eating twice.

    Thanks everyone!

Yes, she's set up in her tub right now and has been left alone all day. I don't plan to touch her or disturb her until it's time to attempt to get some food into her Thanks!!

Wow nice!! My first Ball Python also turned out to be a female when it was bought as a male.
