    Cutting Eggs

Ok My temps were not idea, lost about 5 to mold and on day 65 they haven't pipped so I decided to cut. When I cut them should I see them move inside the egg? The eggs were almost calcified while cutting also. One actually opened while I was trying to pinch it to cut it. Are my snakes in fact dead? Thoughts? TIA

Wow, so sorry to hear this. Do you have any photos? Temps don't have to be ideal, mold is treatable, but day 65 sounds suspicious with no pipping.

    Re: Cutting Eggs

I will have pics once I cut the rest of the way open. I see the yoke as well. I am just looking for another opinion on this matter to confirm my thoughts.

    Re: Cutting Eggs

How much of a temperature fluctuation was there? What was the incubation medium and set up? What was the pairing?

    Re: Cutting Eggs

Temp swings from 86-87 and would see 89-90.5 Pairing was butter X fire spider or bee. I used both males with the female.

    Re: Cutting Eggs

Well here are the results of the eggs I cut open. Unfortunately this is a lesson learned for me. Next season will be better. Looks like I had 1 Pastel, 1 Butter, 1 Bee, and possibly 2 ButterBees...looks like at least 1 anyhow. Now I just need to figure out what I should do with them. Here is the pic.

Sorry to see that.... I've lost a few over the years and it pisses me off.... I just hate when that happens..... i just put them in the trash outside.... Don't feel like the Lone Ranger..... This happens even with the biggest of breeders....

That is too bad, sorry that this happened. It is pretty hard to look at the picture, but by the looks of it, they all must have died before they even finished developing.
