What should I have my uth tstat set at

Wondering what I should have my tstat at for my uth? And also where the probe should be placed, I'm assuming it should be taped directly to the uth under the tank? I have about 1" of substrate where the uth is if that makes any difference

Thermostat should be set where the temperature on the surface it is attached to does not get over 95 degrees. (NOT the top of the substrate)

It should be set to whatever temperature allows you to achieve optimal temps in your tank, so if you want to achieve 88 to 90 on the warm side you need to adjust until you reach those temps.

Everyone's settings are different, depends on the enclosure, substrate, thickness of substrate, t-stat, UTH brand, ambient temps etc, in other words what I set my t-stat on is irrelevant you need to find the setting that for for YOUR setup.
