deborah said something earlier about putting elmers glue o the eggs? what is that supposed to do for the egg? I've never heard of doing that before.

However in this case there was nothing that would have make a difference, while some eggs will mold, when you add the odor described to the mold it's a good indicator that what was in the egg is now dead.
