How often CAN I feed my juvenile ball?

Was wondering how often I can (not need to) feed my juvenile ball. He is 9 months old and I don't have a weight but he is more plump than most that I have seen at 9 months. Been eating adult mice (live) but I want to switch to rats asap. Never turned down a meal, not even the day after I got him. Have been feeding him every 4-5 days. Last time I gave him 2 mice because he has outgrown them. Took both no problem. Also, are rats more dangerous than mice? Obviously rats are bigger but are they more likely to attack? I've herd horror stories about how viscous gerbils are when put in danger

Rats aren't any more dangerous is you're feeding responsibly. If he's eating less than small rats, then every 3-4 days is fine. If he's eating small rats or larger, an appropriately sized meal once a week is plenty.

The bigger the animal the stronger the animal, usually. I always supervise my live feeds regardless, but I'd probably be more attentive with rats than mice just because they have the potential to do a little more damage. Like, I've seen mice try to bite my BP multiple times and not even be able to scuff the scales. It's no big deal, still can be done perfectly safely, just be ready with something to put in the rat's mouth if it starts biting.
