    My first carpet

So I made an impulse buy from a co-worker this week. I bought a female carpet python and tank from him. The best I can tell she looks to be a diamond with some jungle influence also. I would like some general adrlvice on building a custom enclosure for her.

    Congrats!

My advice would be to take full advantage of the semi arboreal characteristics of the Morelia group. Provide a cage that has perches and some "head room"
I started my coastal off in a 48" x 24" x 14" cage and and now moving her into a 24" tall. (shown below)

They are one of the top display snakes IMO, and you will see many more behaviors that they preform out in the wild if you give them a setup that allows for some climbing in captivity.

The parents of my coastal are 8+ and 10 feet long. I expect her to be in the same range.

Branches, and some ceiling if you want my opinion. However there are other ways to keep them. I just prefer a display setup.
