    Howard the Bumblebee Ball-Dorkython

As I spent some time with my friends 5 year old BP, Alex today, I found myself growing sadder and sadder for my sweet little guy. His condition continues to worsen. This is breaking my heart. Every day as I take him out to eat, I've been taking pictures of his little body. It is easy to see how this problem has progressed.

Today, though, to my great pleasure, I saw him drinking. I know you all told me not to worry, but of course, being the person I am, I still did. This made me very happy.

I also saw him partake in some dorky snake activities:

I know they aren't really dorky, but the fact that he was so active when I came home made me smile. To my dismay though, it's looking like he won't make it. That won't stop me from trying, but it is definitely discouraging and hurts a lot.

I agree that doesn't look good, but when infections get really bad they will generally be lethargic and unresponsive, so there's still some hope.

I don't remember; are you giving him antibiotic shots from the vet or something? Just out of curiosity, are you going to a specialist herp vet or regular vet? The treatment sounds like herp vet, but I just wanted to be sure. You should give them a call and let them know the condition is getting a lot worse. They may want to do a culture to more specifically target the bacteria.
