4-Month Old Feeding?
Just got a baby pastel het pied yesterday, a little girl, and the breeder said she was a good feeder and fed one pinky every sunday. She seems a little underweight to me though, I was wondering if/when I could upgrade her to adult mice?

Do you have weight or photos of her? She should probably be on hoppers at this point.

If the breeder meant one mouse pinky per week then it's no wonder she's a good feeder, most hatchlings start on mouse hoppers.
If the breeder meant one rat pinky then I'd suggest trying a rat fuzzy every five days.

Yes, sorry, large pinky rats is what she was eating. When could I start giving her adult mice? Just when we can compare the diameter?

Just my very humble opinion but I'd go to fuzzy rats if you can get them. I've read some snakes get going on mice then it's hard to get them back to rats. About to bump my male super pastel from fuzzy rats to weanlings here pretty soon myself.

I would go for rat pups vs adult mice. Balls can get hooked on a certain feed and trust me you don't want an adult ball who only wants mice as you'll have to feed her multiple times a week vs one rat so I would get rat pups they're the same size as adult mice

Don't. If she's on rats keep her on them. I'd bump to a rat fuzzy or even a small pup if she's big enough.

Oh right! Okay, awesome thank you!

Rule of thumb is the prey item should match the size of the fattest part of your snake. All snakes grow at different lengths so really we cannot tell you exactly what you snake needs or should be on. Rats are healthier then mice, just make sure the rat is not too large or too small.
