    Question about this girl

    Hey everyone,

My Lesser Pastel female defecated last night and this morning i decided to weigh her, she now weighs 1241 grams

but i was wondering does she look fat to you or does she look as she should at that weight?

I am asking this as she is my biggest girl and got nothing to compare her too, my second biggest female is about 1075 grams but she only ate twice now after a 2,5 months of fasting, so that doesn't realy seem like a good girl to compare her with

here are the photo's (not really good quality just some quick snaps as it is feeding day today and i do not want to disturb her to much)

If she looks to fat, do you think i should not feed her today and wait a week, or should i feed her but just a smaller rat like +/- 40 grams or so?

    Re: Question about this girl

She doesn't look fat to me. One of mine is around her size and at a similar body condition (maybe a bit thicker); she gets a mix of medium and small rats and is fed about every seven to ten days. She's my most reliable feeder, so luckily if my larger girls turn their nose up at a medium, or if a smaller snake snubs a small, this girl will happily dispose of either size!

I keep an eye on appetite and defecation - if they seem especially hungry I feed a bit more and if they pass a lot of waste I cut back a little.

    Thanks!

She is also mine most reliable feeder haha, she has never missed a meal only when she is in shed but that is because i dont offer food when they are in shed

i feed her every 7 days and she is also very much like a garbage disposal.

this girls has such a ferocious feeding response that she has tagged me more then 5 times in the past 7 months haha and dumb me keep forgetting what she is like on feeding days

    Thanks,

I am really hoping on this girl to be ready for the coming breeding season, as she is going now (never skipping a meal and already at 1241 grams) that shouldn't be a problem, just hoping i will do everything right to get her in the mood when the time is there

I am also hoping my Orange Ghost female will be ready but she needs to gain a bit more weight then the Lesser Pastel as she only recently started eating again after 2.5 months and the biggest problem she only eats live mice...

at the moment i have a small rat and a mouse together in a small cage (and they are snugged up together, looks quite adorable) hoping the scent of the mouse rubs of on the rat enough to fool the Orange Ghost.

    That's one pretty girl there!

    Don't starve her.

Naw not too fat. different individuals can have different muscle tones. I have a male who has a thick muscular neck, but he's not fat. He even misses a meal here and there.

Just keep on feeding as usual
