    Pastel Clown Price

I'm getting ready to move back down to California in about a year. I want to get back into school, but I also want to start keeping snakes again. One of my long held dreams is to breed my own killer clown. I've kept snakes off and on for nearly a decade, with the only real break having been in the last two years due to the fact that I've been moving around a lot. I caught the bug early on and have wanted to breed ball pythons for a long time.

I'm assembling a list of snakes I would like to aquire in the first year or so after I move. I'm debating whether to get a pair of pastel het clowns or get a pair of pastel het clowns. I browse a lot of breeders websites and obviously a visual clown as oposed to a het will always be more expensive. I also know that with the odds the payoff of getting a pair of pastel het clowns in order to hit the killer clown are long. I don't want to be impatient, but getting at least one visual clown would up the odds quite a bit. The question is, if I have say 3 to 5,000 to spend on an initial collection of sankes, would it be worth the price difference to get a male pastel clown versus a male pastel het clown.

    Re: Pastel Clown Price

Its a little pricier, but I would get a male pastel het clown and a visual pastel clown female. Youll pay more for the visual female, but youll love having her in your breeding program for years to come. On the other hand, as soon as you hit a killer clown male youll probably replace the male you originally bought whether its a pastel clown or pastel het clown, so you might as well save a couple hundred bucks.
