There are different lines of Ghost but they all basically share the same recessive trait's and descriptions and yes they are the same as Hypo which means Hypomelanistic.
Ghost (in ball pythons) is another name for Hypomelanistic. The term 'ghost' was applied early on when the first Hypos were produced however in other species the term 'Ghost' refers to a snake that is showing the traits of both Hypomelanism and Anerythrism (missing the red pigments) So many breeders now use the term 'Hypo' (short for Hypomelanistic) as being a 'more correct' term for the mutation.
Thank you guys for info i felt they were same but for what reasons becausw i always see hypo leopard geckos and i was seeing why some snakes were hypo or ghost but they look the same now it makes sense
gotcha ya because i have a female butter ghost and male pinstripe ghost but when i went too see what they could produce it labeled the male as hypo pinstripe so i figured it meant the same thing
