Sorry to revive an old thread - I'm just getting into Leopard and Yellow Belly morphs but I'm rather intimidated by the Yellow Belly gene as it seems subtle in some combos. For instance, how can OP tell his morph is a Leopard Yellow belly? The only markers I know are the checkered belly, orange flames and a lighter head stamp but the leopard pastels also have the head stamp. Also, in the picture below, how does Greg Graziani know this is a Leopard Pastel Yellow Belly before it's out of the egg, and not just a Leopard Pastel?
The only thing holding me back from getting into Yellow Belly is that I feel like I'd have a hard time identifying

I bought from a breeder I trust, plus it's apparent if you see his belly. I msy have a pic uploaded already. Give me a minute to check.
