Do I have to rub my snake down with oil and stuff made for snakes to help shed and stuff, and do you guys recommend these products? I haven't heard of you guys talking about it and my friend said he heard you gotta do that stuff.

my snake sheds fine without extra products. maybe somebody else can answer your question.

As long as you keep your humidity and temps right I don't see a need for it. If there's retained shed or a history of bad sheds then some 'Shed Ease' or similar product wouldn't hurt.....

i have seen some products for the aiding of shedding. i do not remember the name, but it was actualy suposed to be used every other day or so. it has aloe and all this junk. i never tried it though, cause my snake hasnt had a bad shed yet. i was going to try it because it's says it's good in general to give them helathier skin. but i am always very cautious about putting anything chemical in my snakes cage. if you try some let me know how it works.

I've heard those kinds of products can cause more harm than good. I've never heard of anyone having good experiences with them. As long as you humidity is high enough you should be fine. You could also try bathing your snake in just tepid water for about 10-15 min if you are really concerned about shedding.
