Quick question about shedding...
I've had my BP for about a month and a half, and she just shed for the first time. Right now, she looks all bright and clear and happy again, but I noticed that it might have come off in two separate pieces. Nothing was retained at all, but I heard that it's supposed to come off all in one piece. Is this something to be concerned about?

As long as it all came off you're okay.
Two piece sheds happen to everyone at some point. You may want to doublecheck your humidity. It could probably be bumped up a bit to help get it off in one piece.
It is okay to use pine bedding for snakes.
It is okay to feed live food to snakes.

Sheds get torn every now and again. They're wet and fragile when they come off, so all a snake has to do is slither over it a bit rough and it could tear. Since it all came off during the same process, there's nothing to be worried about.

Re: Quick question about shedding...
Humidity has been between 70-80% for the past week, so I hope that's good enough.
Sounds like it's okay though, but I just wanted to make sure.

Yea. If your humidity was up there, this was just one of those things that happens occassionally.

Re: Quick question about shedding...
That percentage is fine when" in the blue" but it doesn't need to be that high at normal times. 50 - 60% is fine normally. Keep a eye out to make sure the shed skin comes off the tail especially the tip of the tail. That is really important! Good luck.
