Concerns about incubator - What should I do?

I saw that Reptipro 6000 also and was considering it until i read the bad reviews. It looked solid and professional and the makers touted it as a " set it and forget it" type of product. With the squared off mini fridge plus a window look almost got me! I decided to grab a zoo med reptibator which is relatively inexpensive but widely used in zoos and some veterinary institutions. Along with the " hovabator" which also has some good reviews and several different models attractive to the small time and closet breeders. I am with you guys and just don't have the incentive right now to build my own. Stay in peace and not pieces.

Does anyone have any knowledge on this Exo Terra product? Just curious. Peace and thanks.

The newly re-designed Exo Terra Reptile Incubator uses thermoelectric technology which enables the device to cool and to heat. The temperature range is approximately 2C to 60C (36F to 140F), depending on the ambient room temperature. Yeah, it's nothing to do with "the pros can't do it right" and everything to do with "let's build it with the cheapest components possible so we can turn a profit easier". Get heat tape and fans prewired and scope some minifridges for cheap or free on craigs list or ebay, then just make sure you run your heat tape through a GOOD thermostat, like a vivarium electronics or a herpstat.

The thermostat is already covered, thankfully - I've had a herpstat lined up for the incubator since I received the Reptipro almost a year ago.

Not for BP that's for sure, small lizards and snakes yes but for BP it would be VERY small, so small a shoe box does not fit in it, you would need to divide your clutch and put it in small deli cups, you may fit 1 or 2 clutches at the very most. (and I think one more than 2)

Pretty expensive for the size and adding to that I would not trust the t-stat and would only rely on an external one like herpstat.

I don't think I read how many clutches you are expecting. But if you are expecting a small number like 3 or 4, just do what I did. It took me a total of 5 minutes to piece together and worked perfectly. I hatched my first 3 clutches this way with no problem.

I bought a large cooler (the kind you'd take to a beach or on a boat). I then bought a prewired sheet long enough to cover the bottom of 11 inch heat-tape (im sure 3 or 4in will work as well), since it was prewired it was plug and play ready. I then bought a computer fan that was also plug and play ready. Next I made a small hole in the cooler to allow the wires to run from the inside out. Lastly I laid the heat-tape on the bottom, placed water bottles over it (for temp stability) fastened the fan to the top of the cooler, plugged in the heat-tape to my thermostat and viola! Good to go.
