Eliminating Mites on Feeders

So everyone knows how to eliminate a mite problem or at least how to treat snakes for mites. But here's a questions I have pondered and don't think I've seen answered. Do any of you treat your feeders for mites before feeding to your snakes? I know mites are species-specific, but if you get your feeders from someone who breeds rats and snakes, a mite may hitch a ride of your feeders and then infest your collection. What do you guys do to prevent this? Or eliminate this problem. I'm a bit worried about treating the feeders themselves because after all my snakes eat them.

I breed my own feeders and NEVER a mite issue in my colony.

The secret is pretty simple when I used to bring new blood (and I haven't in a few years) I would apply the same strict qua renting procedure that I would apply to snakes (a shorter version) during that time they quarantined animal's enclosure were treated with PAM.

Now if you buy your feeders you need to obstain from feeding for a few days but keep in mind that buying healthy feeders (mites free) would be best.
