    ok i bought my thermostat and i was wondering if i put the probe on the botom of the tank or on the side close to the bottom.

    thermostat

    i put it directly on the bottom right next to the hotside probe. This way I know how hot the surface is and if its too hot for Elysia.

    Yeah, definitely put it on the floor of the enclosure. You can even tuck it into a hide to check the temp in there.
