    Pied eggs

I just realized that I forgot to post the pics about my first clutch of this year.

The pairing is enchi pin het pied X pied. She was about 4200 grams when she laid and gave me 9 good eggs, 1 possible good egg, 1 infertile egg, and 1 slug.

Here are the pics and thanks for looking!

    Very nice!!

I had an egg windowed just like that one on the left last season. Turned out just fine, but the little 0.1 Enchi Super Pastel was 35g out of the egg. She is doing fine now at about 300g

    Re: Pied eggs

That one is candleing with strong veins Corey, I am expecting it yo make it. It is the 2 slightly smaller ones below it that are the infertile and very weak veined eggs. The infertile one started to mold, so I threw it away already, but the the weak veined one is still looking ok, except that the veins only cove about 33% of the egg, I'm not expecting it to make it.

Bummer. I had a clutch of weak veined eggs. All of them went bad and the veins disappeared around 2- 3 weeks.

    Re: Pied eggs

Yeah, I've had that happen before too. Luckily, this time it is only 1 egg, the rest have strong veins. There are still 9 good eggs + the weak one.
