More AP T8 Opinions (stand)
I have a T8 on the way (48x24x12). I'm getting rid of a 75g Aquarium to make room for it. I want to keep the stand, but obviously the dimensions of a 75g are 48x18 and the stand is the same. I really like the stand and want to keep it, but I'm wondering if that extra 6" depth is going to be a problem? Does anyone else do this? I'm thinking of evening up the front and letting the extra 6" hang out the back. I don't think that would cause a problem with stability, but I wonder about the heat tape (11" down the middle").
48x24 is obviously more rare than 48x18, but what does everyone else use? I know they have the small stand at AP, but I want something higher and drawers/shelves would be nice too.

I would want the corners of a PVC cage supported for sure to prevent possible sagging or twisting. You can get tables for cheap. I use http://www.homedepot.com/p/HDX-6-ft-...72FX/204859693 tables for my bearded dragon cage and my Pro-Line cage for my BCI. I'll be picking up another for my AP T10 cage for my BP this summer.

Re: More AP T8 Opinions (stand)
That is a decent option, I'd prefer something with storage cabinets or shelves though. I'm also not sure about stacking a 2nd one on top of the table if I go that route down the road.
Has anyone had any luck with putting a 24" deep pvc cage on a stand that is 18" wide?

You could try to cut a piece of 3/4 plywood out, 48x24, and set your AP on top of that, on top of the stand. This would add a lot more support to the overhang on your AP.

True. If I have the extra 6" of plywood hanging off the back I could probably cut down some support legs for the back as well.
