    Wink Hello.. I'm Jo

This is Pyas X... I have had him/her (dont really know which yet..) for a little over 1 week.. I fed him on Friday and he did really well... He is not my first BP but the first I have had in 7 years ... My girl, babydoll, was five and a half foot and had a great personality... I loved her so much.. Anyway Pyas is not even two foot yet and I get nerouvous getting him out his cage but never did her... I have a snake hook (made from paint roller and wodden handle) Looks good and works well.. I am not sure if I am spose to ask questions here but do have one or two .. His enclosure is 87-92 on the warm side and 78-85 on cool side .. I have thermometers on both ends and a hide on both ends ... Water on the cool side ETC>>> Are my temps right?? He tends to like the cool side better but does go to the warm side sometimes ...

I am pretty excited to finally have a BP again but feel as though I have lost my courage.. I will get it back though ..

Do you have similar hides at both ends? BP will often choose the hide they feel safest in requaedless to what side it is on. In other words sometimes they choose security over thermoregulating

Hey Jo I've had my ball python Amber for just under a month an she also seems to stay on the cold side of the tank under her water bowl. At first I thought she just liked her water bowl so i put her water bowl on the warm side and her hide on the cold side and when i checked on her a few minutes later she was under her hide on the cool side. So i guess she just wants to be cool

Thanks guys... I actually do not have similar hides.. Will give that a try. Pyas also doesn't care if the hide is there or not.
