Second shed better but still not Ideal.
So Luca went through his second shed. It was definitely much better then his first shed but no where near perfect. It still came off in pieces and I had to help remove the tail tip. Eye caps came off so all good there. Now of course Anubis (my pied) is in blue or maybe it should be called pink lol. All of the white on him has turned a pinkish hue.

Have you tired putting damp moss into the hide of the shedding BP? When I had my BPs in glass tanks it helped my snakes get perfect sheds. Now since all my snakes are in PVC enclosures, I don't have any humidity issues.
In regards to the pink snake, I found out that real quick with my Pied boy. It was definitely weird to see him all pink.

I have tried a moist hide for Luca but he refuses to use it if there is anything in it. His humidity the entire time he was in blue was between 60% and 70%. I think that it is more the condition I got him in that have caused the bad sheds.

Re: Second shed better but still not Ideal.
i have read through all of your threads and it sounds like you have a good handle on the situation. im willing to bet within his next 2 sheds it will be resolved. as for the enclosure, i have all my bp's in sterilite tubs from walmart. they dont need a ton of space even as adults a 16"W X 34"L X 6"H plastic tub is plenty. using lights only makes it more difficult to maintain humidity as they dont actually need uv lighting and the natural light in the room is all they need for day/night cycles. i am aware using a glass enclosure is more attractive and if thats your preference by all means please do, im just sharing what i've learned. plastic tubs are easier to control the environment within and my snakes love the privacy and security they allow them.

Thanks I like the tanks cause I can see them. Right now I have spare painters plastic taped over 3/4's of the lid to help keep in the humidity. I can keep the humidity around 55% at all time and when they are in blue or shedding by just misting it twice a day I can keep the humidity around 70%.
