    male not interested

This is my second year breeding and after a good year last year im trying to breed my male to 2 females right now and he will not show any interest in either of them. Both females are acting very receptive but no locks...ive tried each female 3 times since late November...any suggestions or do males just take a year off sometimes?? Ive feed the same and temps are the exact as last year

Some males take more time than others. I have learned to keep a back up male just in case. I have a male that is two years old who would only breed every once in a while. However this year he acts like he's clueless. Some times they just don't work out.

    Re: male not interested

You can allway try putting him in with another male. Also you can try putting another male's shed in with the female you are trying to breed him with, or put the sperm plugs from another male on the females back. I would do all of the above, never fails for me.
