Blue ball python?
Is it possible to get a blue ball python?
I recently read a post on Facebook about breeding a Champagne Cinnamon Orange Ghost to a Cinnamon Ghost to get a blue snake.
Just wondering if anyone could confirm this, and describe in words the "blue snake". There's a picture provided from the poster, but I am blind and can't tell what it looks like.
Thanks,
Amanda

Re: Blue ball python?
The snake was produced by Ken Macek Reptiles.
And he thinks it is a super cinnamon champagne ghost.
The snake pictured has no markings and the overall colour is a kind of greeny blue ( aquamarine maybe ? ) with black eyes. The head and neck however are closer to a true blue than the rest of the body. None of the pictures clearly show what colour its belly is.
It does look very striking but the green tint is perhaps a bit too obvious for my personal taste.
I am much more drawn to the idea of mixing super cinnamon ( or super black pastel ) with the blue tones in lavender albinos, toffee's and candy's. Though the latter two would have slightly different colours as they age. Expect much debate on that one though.
Here is a link for the rest of the forum to know what we are discussing.

Re: Blue ball python?
Thanks Derek!
How exciting, it almost sounds close to a turquoise. Is this the first one? I wonder how much that would cost? lol
By the way, you give very good descriptions.
Perhaps I'll look into the cinnamon morph.

Re: Blue ball python?
It is great looking the concern (aside the super Cinny, Black Pastel issue) is how will it age, I remember being so excited about the silver bullet than when the first one grew up it was a let down.

Thanks guys, has anyone seen the snake as it aged? Did it retain the color well??
What about the super cinnis and black pastels color retention? Do they not hold up welll?
Thanks,
Amanda
