Newspaper as bedding?
Hey guys.
For the past three weeks, I've been away for the holidays, and I left my BP with a friend to watch over. I gave him guidelines on how to monitor the temperatures, feeding, etc. Needless to say... he did a pretty great job. But, I come back to pick up him and it looks like Abdul (my BP!) had a little too much fun making a mess, like usual. My friend did a little spot-cleaning but not good enough. I can't really blame him for the mess, because he's a dog person, and the only person I could really trust to keep my BP well until I got back.
The problem is, I cannot make it to the Pet store until Saturday afternoon to get more supplies, and I really want to clean his cage today! (it's Thursday evening right now ) Would it be alright to clean his cage today and use newspaper as bedding until I can make it to the store or is that a no-no? I've seen people use it as bedding, but I still feel a little uneasy about it..
Thanks guys, and Happy New Year!!

Newspaper bedding is completely fine, it just sucks for holding humidity which is why I dont use it myself living in a dry area. Try and get unprinted newspaper though, better. Paper towels also work.
