    Bad shed while on vacation

My ball python was in the process of shedding when I left for vacation. She was in the blue when I left, and when I returned she had a failed shed. She shed off her chin skin and it looks like one eyecap. The problem probably happened because the house sitter forgot to mist her cage for the ~5 days I was gone. I don't know what to do since I don't know how long shes been how she is. Here are some pictures:

Give her/him a soak for around an hour, then proced to gently help remove the now VERY loose skin. Repeat as needed. also keep her humidity slightly higher for a few days to help with shedding and make sure she is not dehydrated.

Re: Bad shed while on vacation

When my BP had a bed shed I got a warm damp towel and let him slide through it, and I applied little pressure and his shed came off very nicely.
Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened.

Letting the snake crawl through a damp towel as you hold it is fine. Do not pull the skin off by hand.

You could also just boost the humidity in the cage and let the snake take care of it. From the pics it appears that once the skin in moist again it will come off without any issues.
