    Feeding question.

I have fed my bp (4ft) 2 mice in two days. It is possible that he's still hungry? He has been acting odd, striking at me, he his body has stayed in his hide but the front 1/3 of his body he has kept out. When I replaced his hide the other day, it ended up slightly propped up on a branch I have in there, could he feel less secure?

My main question is, should I try feeding him another mouse? And what if this odd, striking behavior continues? He doesn't even strike when he goes into shed, we had a small earthquake the other day, which might have startled him.

I could see an earthquake bothering a snake.
Is the hide still propped on the branch? If so, just fix it and see if he stops striking.

Someone better qualified can tell you about the feeding.

    Re: Feeding question.

I went and purchased a frozen mouse today (going to try the f/t thing), and while he's focused on the mouse I will fix his hide. I also purchased him a second hide that I am going to wait until he has digested (and I've cleaned his tank) to put in there.

Yay! If he keeps on with the f/t maybe you can switch to rats and not have to drop a fortune in mice!
