So it sounds like there's a general consensus that a female who is eating normally (doesn't stop eating), has no problem growing from 800g to 1500g in 12 months. I think aalomon said in another thread that that can of weight can be put on in 6 months even.

I'm still curious about my original question: "if you are trying to grow a female to breed in 2 years, what is your "on track" weight at the end of year 1 to hit 1500 at end of year 2, given typical growth rates?" I'm guessing based on what I've heard maybe the halfway mark, for a female that doesn't stop eating, would be around 600-700g. (Putting on more total weight in the second year).

There is no "typical" with balls! If you want "typical",go with a different snake. You cannot control whether they will eat or not. There is also dealing with the "wall", that many hit. At the other end of the spectrum,I have one of my hold back female pieds that hatched in july, and weighed last week at 1025g!
