 Hello all you guys and gals...
Well, I just thought I would tell you all about my paranoid way of keeping snakes. Firstly, I gotta tell you that my snakes are really the most important thing to me - I am a single guy, recovering from a divorce with no kids so my snakes are truly my babies...I just lavish love and care on them to the N th degree. Now the thing is that I live in an apartment here in the Los Angeles area and my snake hobby ( life? ) is a total secret. I don't reveal to anybody that I have my Pythons, Boa and all the other members of my clan. I don't trust anybody in this apartment not to rat me out. I have my bedroom closet modified to where I have my entire snake collection secreted away from view...it is all set up in there with my heating system, temp probes, equipment ect....In the blink of an eye I can close the door and it is all hidden away from sight. You would never guess I have a whole posse of snakes in there.

See, the problem is that people in general HATE snakes and these poor ignorant souls react negatively to there presence. Now the truth of the matter is that snakes are probably amongst the LEAST offensive animals and pets you could probably have...no noise, no destructive behavior, nothing like a dog or a cat. Not that I dislike dogs and cats but you know how they can be...

So I have learned to keep the existence of collection a closely guarded secret with only other hard core herpers having any idea about it. Actually all of you out there on this forum are the only people that really know what I am up too. Kindred souls I would say. When I get my digicam I will be able to share photos of my specimens and get input from all of you as to what you think about my set ups and the health and appearance of my snakes...oooohhh...you really just HAVE to see my snakes...they are so healthy and shiny that it is a sight to gladden the heart of a snake person..my Ball pythons have developed this midnight blue sheen to their heads and necks that is just gorgeous...I cannot wait till I can bask in the praise of my fellow herpers... 8)
