Re: Feeding Problem
How old is he? How much does he weigh? How long have you had him? We need WAY more information in order to be able to help. Also, read the link below for ideas...

Re: Feeding Problem
Can you give us a basic rundown of your current husbandry? Temps, humidity, what you have inside the tank, and maybe post a picture of the tank. Also what have you tried feeding him? What tricks have you tried? How much does he weigh? How long have you had him?

Ok here's your issue. 10 pounds is OBESE even for an average full grown female. My girl is only 5 pounds. He is most likely just not hungry. Maybe trying to lose some weight LOL. But there are owners on this site who have had snakes not eat for over 9 months. 3 weeks isn't anything to worry about unless he has loose stool all of the time or he is rapidly losing weight. It's also winter and he might be trying to find a mate.

so do you think he's just now becoming sexually mature? only reason why i ask is because he ate no problem in winters before. This is just the first time he's done this since I've had him and it just makes me nervous is all. He acts normal, no loose stool or anything like that. should i try again in a week or so or should just wait a while since you said he's obese?

I would say wait two weeks before feeding again just to be on the safer side.

Yeah I definitely understand. Sometimes it's better to worry a lot than to not worry at all. Glad I could help!!

Re: Feeding Problem
What I'm most shocked at is how you've gone 5 years without anything as long as a 3 week fast. Crazy!
Well, that and the fact that you're claiming to have a 4500+ gram male BP. That's a good sized female and a GIANT male.
