Feeding while in shed
I just noticed my little girl looking a bit blue on her eyes tonight. She is supposed to eat tomorrow evening. Should I wait until she's totally done shedding before feeding or will it be ok to feed her tomorrow? This will be her first shed with me.

Go ahead and try, it won't hurt. I only have a couple that will not eat during blue. The ones that do, the worst that happens is their aim is off and they miss a time or two. But, they do eat. I have two in blue right now and they both ate last night.
I am assuming you are feeding F/T. If you are feeding live keep a close eye on the prey so it doesn't injure your snake as its vision is obviously impaired.

If I see one of my snakes in blue on feeding day, I skip them and don't thaw out food for them.
If I jump the gun and thaw out the food, then open their bin and realize they're in blue, I try to feed them anyways. I get pretty mixed results. I find my already picky, high strung snakes are unlikely to feed during this time, but my troopers who never disappoint will sometimes feed.
It won't hurt either way.

My little baby female just shed for the first time last week and also ate no problem. Even more awesome, it was the first time I tried feeding her f/t since she had previously been on live. She went right for it. I'd say try it, and if she doesn't take it, then you'll know that she probably won't be one to eat during her shed (but who knows, maybe she would eat during a future shed).

I'm new at this but I don't see how it would hurt, let the snake choose and if it doesn't want it then oh well

Same here in fact tonight my male Spider was due so I thawed and warmed up a weaned Rat for him then found him in blue. I offered anyway but he refused so my Enchi female got a nice treat, she ate 3 nights ago but once the spider refused I saw here at the front of her tub giving me that "are you gonna eat that"? look so I offered to her and she didn't hesitate snapping it up. I just hate to toss out a rat, such a waste of money to do so. It will be easier soon when a few others in my rack are up to weaned size rats too. Right now I only have 3 snakes at the size to take a weaned rat and the other is my male Pied and he refused to eat too as he was in blue a few days ago. My guess is he will shed in the next 24 hours and then be ready to go.

Gemma eats every Wednesday like clock work, shed or no shed. Try it out. Worse comes to worse, you lose a mouse.

Some will, some won't. If they do eat it will be fine

I went ahead and offered it to her and she gobbled it right up without hesitation.
How come some people are so stern on not feeding while they in shed? Can it be bad for them?
