    Black pastel and butter?

I'm in the process of arranging a pickup for a couple of ball pythons and I've never seen a black pastel in person so I wanted to get some opinions. I'm getting this male black pastel for 100. I know they're darker than normals and this guy is pretty dark.... I'm also getting this pretty female butter as well

    Re: Black pastel and butter?

Doesn't really look like a black pastel to me. Maybe a better picture would help. Cinnamons also look very similar to black pastels. There are a lot of experts on here whom I am sure will chime in with more experience. Here are two helpful links...

    Herps are cool.

One of the attractions of outdoor pursuits activities for many people is that life is reduced to the barest essentials, and in the process a more intimate connection to the natural world is established. Food that would be trashed or fed to the dog at home tastes wonderful, a cup of murky water is much appreciated, and after a few days, even a thin sleeping pad can feel like a comfortable mattress as tired bones are able to rest after a hard day's work.

What are surefire clues it's a black pastel? I'm going to be driving a bit to pick this guy up, and a cinnamon isn't really going to be workable with my plans..... I really hope it's just the pic quality

    My guy as a baby

    As an adult

    And his daughter

Check out how the alien heads are completely formed all the way around and under them are white areas. Also notice the black squiggle lines above the black dots in the alien heads. The ball python in your pic is either a poor example of the morph or a normal. Black pastels are pretty common and you should be able to get a hold of a great example male for $100. Good luck.

I dunno if you've checked this or not already but if you're ok with having a snake shipped overnight for a low price but high quality you can look on kingsnake.com. I personally check their classifieds for eye candy like clowns and pieds. I'd never get one (no money) but they're fun to look at.

I don't think it's a black pastel either. There are better examples of the morph if he is a black pastel.
